John Lookabaugh - Elder
John has been at Grace Church since 2020 and was ordained as an elder in 2023. John serves as a teacher and men’s Bible study leader and loves learning with and from others as they grow in Christ together.
John taught Bible and history in Christian schools for more than a decade before going back to school himself to earn his doctorate from Southern Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. John and Katy have been married for more than seventeen years and have four school-aged children, Lydia, Levi, Abijah, and Judah (with one on the way).
Katy graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in early childhood education and after teaching at a missionary school in Costa Rica, she now teaches her own children as a homeschool mother. Katy also teaches Sunday school and enjoys encouraging other ladies as they serve Christ together.
John has many favorite Bible verses, one of which is John 15:5 - "I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing."
