You maybe prompted to test audio levels.  You do not need a video camera to participate.  You may simply watch and listen.  Here are the meetings for the upcoming week with the links to participate:

March 26, 2020

Below are announcements pertaining to our church over the next couple of weeks.

From the Elders - We have been asked how members of our family of families can give their tithes and offerings to the Lord even though we are not meeting together on Sundays.  There are three ways that you can give:

  • by mailing your check to Grace Church at 4808 Tallmadge Road, PO Box 208, Rootstown, OH 44272;
  • by giving online through the Grace Church of Rootstown website; and,
  • by giving online banking at your bank or credit union.  The donation to be made to Grace Church of Rootstown, 4808 Tallmadge Road, PO Box 208, Rootstown, Ohio 44272.

Please be prayfully considering how much you will give during this time to further His Kingdom.  May God bless and keep you during this time.

Online Classes and Prayer - In order to keep some form of normalcy during this time, we are going to attempt to do the following studies/meetings online beginning this Sunday.

To join a meeting, simply click the link for that specific meeting, and you will download a small application on your computer called Zoom.  Once downloaded, it should launch and take you directly to the meeting. You maybe prompted to test audio levels.  You do not need a video camera to participate.  You may simply watch and listen.  Here are the meetings for the upcoming week with the links to participate:

Youth and Ladies' Bible Study members should receive a notification this week from the leaders.

Helping Hands - There have been some who have expressed a willingness to help others run errands and pick up groceries during this virus crisis.  If you are willing to help out in this manner or would like to take advantage of this service, please contact Sherry at the church office: 330-325-7174 or [email protected]  We are going to try to coordinate this type of ministry through the church office.

Service Live Stream - We will live stream our service again this Sunday at 10:45 AM. We have addressed some technical issues which should improve things this Sunday. The easiest way to watch is at the church website:  GraceChurchRootstown.com/live .  If you would rather watch at the YouTube site, our live page is here.

Good Friday Service - We need to begin to recognize the possibility that we will not meet together on Good Friday.  For many within our church family, this will come as a disappointment, especially our musicians and singers who have already spent hours preparing for this special time of worship and meditation of our Savior's death.  However, we are planning some type of service that will be streamed on Good Friday (Friday, April 10) at 7:00 PM.  This time will consist of singing, Scripture reading, and a brief message.  Please be praying as we adapt this service in this different format.

Life Line Screening - This event has been cancelled which was scheduled to take place in our building on Monday, March 30.

March 20, 2020 - 12:00 PM

This Sunday, March 23 we will live stream a service at 10:45 am. This service will be simple, which will include singing, prayer and a message from Psalm 91.

We will be streaming via YouTube Live. This feed will be embedded on our church website at GraceChurchRootstown.com/live. You may go to our website and simply click on the "live streaming" image at the top of the home page, and it will take you to the live stream page. This is the simplest way of viewing our Sunday morning service.

For those who are more savvy with technology, it is possible to view on YouTube or possibly via YouTube app on AppleTV or other streaming devices. However, we have not verified these options.

Needless to say, since this is our first go at this, there could be issues. Please be gracious. A few of our tech guys will be setting up the technology tomorrow morning. Please be praying for them and that all will go well.

Lastly, the Elders will be meeting Monday evening (3/23) to discuss the possibility of continuing current studies online, to see how Shepherd Groups can function during this time and how Grace Church can practically meet the needs of one another. Please be praying for the Elders that God will supply wisdom during this time of uncertainty.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope" (Romans 15:13).

March 18, 2020 - 11:30 AM

Due to the recent spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and based on the recommendations of the CDC and the State of Ohio to limit gatherings to no more than 10 people, Grace Church needs to heed those recommendations.  Therefore, the Elders of Grace Church are communicating the following changes regarding church gatherings. Ongoing updates to our Grace Church family will be posted on this page.  Email and Facebook communication will go out directing you to any new information during this time.

The Elders have grappled, and continue to do so, over this decision.  The way we function as a church will change for the time being.  In the meantime, we will find ways in which we continue to edify and encourage one anther.

Church Gatherings

All church gatherings, funtions or activies through the end of the month have been suspended.  Beginning immediately and through the end of March, all Wednesday evening gatherings (prayer meeting, youth gathering and choir rehearsal), weekly Bible studies, Sunday evening gatherings (AWANA, youth and classes) and the Sunday morning studies and worship services are cancelled.  The Elders have not made any decisions beyond March 31.

We are attempting to livestream services at 10:45 am on Sundays.  We will communicate details by the weekend.

Studies, Shepherd Groups and Care

The Elders will be meeting Monday evening (3/23) to discuss the possibility of continuing current studies online, to see how Shepherd Groups can function during this time and how Grace Church can practically meet the needs of one another.  Please be praying for the Elders that God will supply wisdom during this time of uncertainty.
