What We Believe and Teach
We believe and teach that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings. The Bible is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (Psalm 19:7-8; Proverbs 30:5-6; Luke 24:27; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21)
We believe and teach that the Godhead exists eternally in three distinct persons…The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections. (Matthew 28:19-20; John 1:1-4; John 14:16-17; Acts 5:3-4; II Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:1-3)
We believe and teach that Salvation is wholly of God by grace, through the redemption of Jesus Christ and the merit of His shed blood… not on the basis of human merit or works. (John 1:12-13; John 3:3; Acts 20:21; Romans 5:1; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; I Peter 1:18-19)
We believe and teach that water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are the only ordinances of the church and that they are a scriptural means of testimony for the church in this age. We further believe and teach that baptism is properly practiced as quickly as possible after salvation. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 16:32-33; I Cor 11:23-26; Acts 2:41; Acts 8:36-38).
